Whilst some things are best left in the past, novelty songs about football is not one of them. Pair of pals Poppy Hankin (Girl Ray) and Jof Owen (The Boy Least Likely To) AKA Bubble & Squeak are here to prove it with 'Let's Do It Again'. Originally brought together by a shared love of Christmas and tongue-in-cheek indie pop, Bubble & Squeak's mission statement is a celebration of the UEFA Women’s European Championship (which started yesterday if you didn't know). Decidedly playful and airing on twee, wiry guitars and a sturdy rhythm section prop up their lighthearted lyricism, which (in fairness) has some extremely valid points to make. 'It’s still the same sport just not played by men' and 'My Bobby Moore is Leah Williamson' instantly spring to mind.
